Our technology is applicable to spontaneously breathing patients, patients interacting with ventilators, and to a spectrum of other respiratory devices. It has application in pulmonary research and pulmonary function testing. Likewise the methodology could be used in respiratory psychophysiology and biofeedback practice and research. These methods could also be applied to non-clinical situations, for example athlete or musician training, or to hazardous environment areas such as scuba diving and aircraft pilot training.
