BIS-T1.0 DOWNLOAD

This is the Trial version 1.0 of the Biofeedback Incentive Systemtm (BIStm) system, i.e. BIS-T1.0

This is a limited version of the BIStm system, but fully functional. It is intended for private use, with no time limitation. This includes use in commercial pulmonary function laboratories and clinical therapy environments. Use in commercial products is prohibited without written permission.

This software has been developed in the National Instruments, Inc. LabVIEWtm environment as a stand-alone program. The hardware requirements are described in the "ReadMe" file, and patient use suggestions for COPD / Emphysema / Asthma patients in the "Patient Info" file. These suggestions should be printed and reviewed by a physician or appropriate therapist for specific advice on use of this program.

LabVIEW creates what is called a "Virtual Instrument." Here the computer itself becomes the instrument, with controls and displays on the computer screen.

You may review pictures and have a brief tour of the BIS-T1 system at the following location Go to Tour / Pictures

This site will be periodically updated as to use instructions, e.g. Hyperventilation Syndrome therapy, etc. and other suggested additional uses of this software such as the Abnormal Dyspnea Perception Detection System, as indeed the BIStm program is a basic multipurpose tool. This will include instructions as to how to build peripheral devices to use this software for other applications. Depending on user responses this trial version will be upgraded in future.

We are requesting those who download this program to identify themselves. Your identity will be confidential and will not be divulged to general commercial mailing lists. Unless you identify yourself we will be unable to advise you of program problems and updates. Your experiences with this program and any problems encountered, or suggestions, are appreciated and encouraged. This will guide further development of this product.

We have recently become aware of a defect in the BIS-T1 download program, that prevents a proper setup. The program itself functions well. Do not erase any BIS-T1 files you have previously downloaded. The problem may be corrected by activating the National Instruments driver file 61core.zip as noted in the download instructions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused.
